Wear Resistant High Alumina Plate

One of the most important features of ceramic is its wear resistance, even at higher and very high temperatures.

It is superior to all other materials applied for wear protection such as steel, cast steel and partly also hard metals. The abrasion and erosion resistance of ceramics is just as important as its excellent resistance against corrosion and high temperatures. Whereas metals, above all, in moist atmospheres are already subjected to oxidation and corrosion at low temperatures, ceramics materials are absolutely resistant, even against acids and alkalis.

Acid resistant bricks have a wide range of use in chemical industries. These bricks are used to line the internal surfaces of acid containers as well as the floors of chemical workshops to protect the underlying strata.  

The use of such bricks decreases maintenance expenses of the machinery by protecting them against the corrosive effect of acid agents.
