1.  Firebrick Concept
Firebrick
is built primarily to withstand high heat, usually have a low thermal conductivity to save energy. Which Includes Silica bricks, high alumina bricks, Aluminium silicate firebricks, alkaline bricks, etc. Normal Firebricks are not good insulators. A special insulating firebrick of highly porous fireclay or kaolin has low conductivity and low heat content but a melting point of only about 1,600°F to 2,800°F (870°C-1,540°C).Density is lower 1.3g/cm3, it is light weight firebrick or insulating brick.
2.  Firebrick Raw Materials
Firebrick raw materials consisting of nonmetallic minerals formed in a variety of shapes for use at high temperatures, particularly in structures for metallurgical operations and glass manufacturing. Principal raw materials for firebrick include fireclays, mainly hydrated aluminum silicates; minerals of high aluminum oxide content, such as bauxite, diaspore, and kyanite; sources of silica, including sand and quartzite; magnesia minerals, magnesite, dolomite, forsterite, and olivine; chromite, a solid solution of chromic oxide with the oxides of aluminum, iron, and magnesium; carbon as graphite or coke; and vermiculite mica. Minor raw materials are zirconia, zircon, thoria, beryllia, titania, and ceria, and other minerals containing rare-earth elements.
3.  Firebrick Technical Index
Different level firebricks is depends on the detail specification. The main specification is: Refractoriness, Bulk density, Refractoriness under load, Compressive strength, linear change after reheating, apparent porosity, Thermal shock resistance etc.
4.  Firebrick Applications
The greatest use of firebrick is in the steel industry, where they are used for construction of linings of equipment such as blast furnaces, hot stoves, and open-hearth furnaces. Other important uses of firebricks are for cement kilns, glass tanks, nonferrous metallurgical furnaces, ceramic kilns, steam boilers, and paper plants. Special types of firebricks are used in rockets, jets, and nuclear power plants.

We, Fame Rise Corporation, supply various kinds of firebricks including fireclay brick, high alumina brick but in this website the firebricks and carbon blocks for blast furnace are mainly introduced. Fame Rise Corporation is located in the Tangshan city where more then 40 million tones of steel and iron are produced that take up more than 50% of output in Hebei province. Many blast furnaces and hot blast furnaces in this area have been built with the firebricks that are from Fame Rise Corporation.
